Setti-Fatma and the Ourika valley

Category:

The Ourika Valley is a valley in the Moroccan High Atlas, which is shaped by the river of the same name. The village of Setti-Fatma, 65 km from Marrakech, is the starting point for beautiful excursions in Berber country, in particular the hike to the 7 waterfalls. This route is very popular with the Moroccans themselves and requires closed shoes. On the way back from this refreshing tour, we recommend lunch in the small restaurants “les pieds dans l’eau” (feet in the water) which are located directly in the river. This excursion is also an opportunity to admire the architecture of the Berber villages with their stone and adobe houses whose terraced roofs are used to dry crops and fodder.
