Oualidia

Situated about 200 km from Marrakech, south of El Jadida, the seaside resort of Oualidia is located at the entrance of a large lagoon with blue and turquoise waters.

On the Atlantic side, a beautiful sandy beach stretches for 3 km. Swimming is safe. The spectacle is magnificent when the sea uncovers numerous sandbanks with the ocean as a horizon.

On the lagoon side the show is just as magical. When the sea retreats, the lagoon loses 3 metres of water and you can see the strange spectacle of cows crossing on foot to enjoy the green grass of the islets.

Don’t hesitate to take a “vaporetto” to go deeper into this natural refuge, which is home to many species of migratory birds, and to reach the farms of the many oyster farmers who have settled on its shores.
